The Hoarding Ropemaster of Southwark
Craftman of an organic evergrowing theatre of experiences.

Theatre sets create new ephemeral worlds, what happens at the end of their life? Do these worlds die in oblivion? Can architecture be defined by wooden panels and flowing curtains?
Just as stage sets oppose the concept of space as something fixed and static, the techtonics of this proposal become veils, allowing perpetual movement and change. Its dynamism enhances the relationship with cosmic elements and natural phenomena. Darkness is embraced, the games that natural light plays are emphasised. The materiality of the structure conjures images of the otherworldly.
Behind this lives a mysterious man, he sees, he overhears, he collects, he moves through walls and via cranes. He builds this world and generously shares it with the people of Southwark.
