The forbidden city
Moulding, carving, cutting urban fabric.

Like Kowloon, a new forbidden city arises in Southwark, forgotten in the new masterplan regulation.
To gain control of the situation, the government attempts banning social interaction and assembly.
Buildings begin being adapted to new standards. Unable to move through the streets, ladders and bridges allow moving through the rooftops, secret tunnels connect flats and buildings.
The dead end alleys become connected arteries allowing encounters and a more free navigation in the city, not dictated by the masterplan.
Buildings are carved, cut, allowing moving through walls, emerging in unexpected places.
The project aims to eliminate the physical andmoral constraints of the city, eliminate its tightness.
